How the unfiltered optical bandwidth can be tested?

Unfiltered optical bandwidth can be tested by using acceptable optical pulse generator. To perform a right test with the UDS-2128 having 8 GHz unfiltered optical bandwidth it is needed optical impulse with 20 ps PWHM or faster. An input optical impulse should be acquired with 1 ns/div time base. Then use FFT to transfer a waveform into the spectrum. Make marker measurement with the spectrum. Find a frequency where spectrum has losses −6 dB relatively to low frequencies.
